Based at Mid-Hants Railway.

Built at Derby in 1950, withdrawn by British Rail in 1971 and was then used in industry, initially by the National Coal Board.

Moved to the Watercress Line in 2010.

Painted in BR Black livery with early crest.

Currently operational.

12082 was renumbered to 12049 in October 2010 and painted in BR green with a late crest but without the yellow/black ends; this was as a replacement for the original Mid-Hants locomotive. 12049 that was scrapped after suffering catastrophic damage during an engine shed fire on 26th July 2010.
