30777 Sir Lamiel

Based at Great Central Railway at Loughborough in Leicestershire.

Built in 1925 by the North British Loco Works in Glasgow.

Withdrawn from service in October 1961.

Owned by the National Railway Museum in York.

First ran in preservation from 1983-1996.

It was restored to the later British Railways livery in 2003.

Last major overhaul was completed in May 2006.

Ran as 777 at other times.

Withdrawn in August 2017, due to leaky boiler tubes.

To painted in BR Brunswick lined Green livery with early crest.

Being overhauled at Loughborough Shed, will also be certified for mainline running.

This locomotive was restored to Maunsell livery as No. E777, and became part of the National Collection.
