Based at Swanage Railway in Dorset.
Originally built in 1926 as K Class A806 River Torridge, but was rebuilt in 1928 as U Class at Brighton Works by Richard Maunsell.
Withdrawn from service in January 1964 after 35 Years, 7 months of service.
Fitted with a 3,500 gallon tender.
Owned by John Bunch.
First ran in preservation from 1981-1991.
Previously ran between 2011-2021.
Last major overhaul was completed in 2021.
Boiler ticket expires in 2031.
Painted in BR lined Black livery with late crest.
Mainline ticket expired in 2025.
Currently operational.
The only survivor of the K class rebuilds.
