Based at Swindon Steam Museum in Wiltshire.
Built in April 1903 by George Jackson Churchward & barley a year old, it became the first steam loco to archived 102.3MPH down Wellington Bank between Taunton & Exeter on 9th May 1904.
Withdrawn from service on 20th March 1931.
Preserved by the NRM, York in 1957 & re-entered service.
Withdrawn again from service in 1961.
Owned by the National Railway Museum in York.
First ran in preservation from 1985-1992.
Last major overhaul was completed in early 2004.
Withdrawn from service in 2013, due a hole in one of the boiler tubes.
Mainline certified from 1984-1992 & 2004.
Boiler ticket expired in 2014, but last ran in 2012.
Painted in Great Western lined Green livery.
On permanent static display.
