Based at Dartmouth Steam Railway in Paignton, Devon.
Built in March 1916 by George Jackson Churchward at Swindon Works & spent much of it’s career working on china clay goods trains in South Wales & Cornwall.
Withdrawn from service in April 1964.
Owned by the 4247 Preservation Society.
Formerly based at Bodmin & Wenford Railway in Cornwall from 2004-2022.
Previously ran between 2001-2010.
Last ran from 2011-2021.
Returned to service in 2025, following overhaul at East Somerset Railway.
Boiler ticket expires in 2035.
Painted in BR Black livery with British Railways lettering.
Currently operational.
