Based at the Dartmouth Steam Railway in Paignton, Devon since 2008.
Built in April 1920 by George Jackson Churchward at Swindon Works & like the previous 3 engines, spent much of it’s career working on china clay goods trains in South Wales & Cornwall.
Withdrawn in June 1964 from Aberbeeg.
Retains original inside steam pipes.
Left Barry in June 1986.
Owned by the Dartmouth Steam Railway.
First ran in preservation from 1993-2002.
Last ran between 2008-2018.
Returned to service in 2022, following overhaul.
Boiler ticket expires in 2032.
Painted in BR unlined Black livery with early crest.
Named Hercules since preservation.
Currently operational.
Currently spending the 2025 season at North Norfolk Railway.
