Based at Severn Valley Railway.
Built in June 1940 by the North British Locomotive Co in Glasgow.
Numbered WD307, Iranian State Rly 41.109, WD500 & 8233 at other times.
Famously derailed after colliding with a camel on 9th August 1942.
Withdrawn from service in August 1968.
Fitted with Balanced Motion.
It is left hand drive.
Owned by the Stanier 8F Locomotive Society.
First ran in preservation as 8233 from 1975-1989.
Last major overhaul was completed in 1998.
Boiler ticket expired on 13th January 2008.
Painted in BR unlined Black livery with late crest.
On static display in the Engine House, Highley, awaiting overhaul.
