4965 Rood Ashton Hall

Based at Tyseley Loco Works in Birmingham.

Built in November 1930 by Charles Collett at Swindon Works.

Withdrawn from service in December 1963 after 32 Years, 4 months of service.

Previously identified as 4983 Albert Hall.

It has a Churchward 3500 tender fitted.

Owned by the 7029 Clun Castle Limited.

First ran in preservation from 1998-2008.

Last major overhaul was completed in October 2009.

Boiler ticket expired on 9th September 2019.

Painted in Great Western Green livery with Great Western Lettering.

Stored, awaiting overhaul.

Overhaul due to commence in March 2024 with conversion from coal to oil-burning being undertook.
