60007 Sir Nigel Gresley

Based at Crewe Works LNWR in Cheshire.

Built in October 1937 by Sir Nigel Gresley at Doncaster Works.

Numbered LNER 4498, LNER 600 & LNER 7 at other times.

Withdrawn from service in 1964 after 28 years, 3 months of service.

Fitted with a corridor tender.

Owned by the Sir Nigel Gresley Locomotive Trust.

First ran in preservation from 1973-1987.

2nd boiler ticket was from 1995-1999.

3rd boiler ticket was between 2006-2015.

Last major overhaul was completed in late 2022.

Boiler & mainline tickets expires in 2032.

Painted in BR lined Blue livery with early crest.

Currently operational & mainline certified.
