Built in April 1937 by Sir Nigel Gresley at Doncaster Works.
Numbered LNER 4488, LNER 590 & LNER 9 at other times.
Withdrawn from service in June 1966 after 28 years, 11 months of service
Fitted with a corridor tender.
Owned by John Cameron.
First ran in preservation from 1989-1998.
2nd boiler ticket was between 2000-2010
3rd boiler ticket was between 2012-Autumn 2016.
Last major overhaul was completed in April 2017.
Mainline ticket expired in March 2020.
Withdrawn in October 2021, due to a fault with the boiler tubes.
Painted in BR lined Green livery with late crest.
Permanently on static display alongside 61994 The Great Marquess.
