Based at Crewe LNWR Works in Cheshire.
Built in March 1948 at Doncaster Works.
Numbered 532 in LNER livery.
Withdrawn from service on 31st December 1966.
Owned by Jeremy Hosking under the ownership of the Royal Scot Locomotive and General Trust Ltd.
First ran in preservation in the 1970's & 1980's.
Previously ran from 1992-2002.
Last major overhaul was completed in March 2024.
Boiler & mainline tickets expires in 2034.
Painted in BR lined Blue livery with early crest.
Currently operational & mainline certified.
During 1st‒3rd August 2025, Blue Peter was on display for the Greatest Gathering held at Derby Litchurch Lane Works.
