Based at Midland Railway, Butterley in Derbyshire.

Built in July 1938 at Crewe Works by Sir William Stanier.

Numbered 46233 in BR days.

Withdrawn from service in February 1964.

Owned by The Princess Royal Class Locomotive Trust.

First ran in preservation from 2001-2011.

2nd boiler ticket was from 2012-2017.

Last major overhaul was completed in July 2018

Boiler & mainline tickets expired in 2025, but was taken out of service after the 2022 season following boiler problems.

Painted in LMS Crimson Lake livery.

Currently being overhauled & to be re-mainline certified.
