Built in February 1937 by Charles Collett at Swindon Works.
Withdrawn from service in October 1964 after 27 Years, 7 months of service.
One of the few engines to escape Cashmore's scrapyard thanks to a last minute rescue by the Dart Valley Railway.
Originally purchased as a source of spares for No. 6412 and No. 6435, the locomotive was eventually restored to working order in 2003.
Owned by Hugh Shipton.
Formerly based at Llangollen Railway until 2021.
Previously ran from 2003-2013.
Last major overhaul was completed in 2015.
Boiler ticket expired in February 2025.
Painted in BR lined Green livery with early crest.
