686 The Lady Armaghdale

Based at Severn Valley Railway.
Built in 1898 by Hunslet Engine Company for the Manchester Ship Canal as St John.
Withdrawn in 1968, The Lady Armaghdale was preserved in 1969 and moved to the Severn Valley Railway.
First ran in preservation from 1969-1971.
2nd boiler ticket was from 1981-1989.
3rd boiler ticket was between June 1992-late 1999.
Last major overhaul was completed in 2001.
The locomotive had been disguised as Thomas the Tank Engine for relevant events in the 2000s.
Withdrawn in September 2009.
Painted in lined Red livery.
Currently on static display in the Engine House Museum at Highley.
