Based at Severn Valley Railway.
Built in January 1938 by Charles Collett at Swindon Works.
Withdrawn from service in November 1965.
Owned by the Erlestoke Manor Fund.
First ran in preservation from 1993-2000.
2nd boiler ticket was between 2002-2010.
3rd boiler ticket was from 2015-2019.
Last major overhaul was completed in January 2025.
Boiler ticket expires in 2035.
Painted in BR Brunswick lined Green livery with late crest.
Currently operational & paired with 2857's tender, while it's new one is under construction.
Starred in the 2005 film "The Chronicles of Narina: The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe".
Formerly mainline certified from 1995-2007.
