Built in April 1959 at Swindon Works.
Withdrawn from service in November 1967 after 8 years, 7 months of service.
Paired with a BR1G tender.
Formerly owned by Wildlife artist & conservationist David Shepherd 25th April 1931 – 19th September 2017.
Owned by the North Norfolk Railway plc.
First ran in preservation from 1973-1978 at East Somerset Railway.
2nd boiler ticket from 1992-2002.
Previously ran from 2004-2013.
Last major overhaul was completed in 2014
Boiler ticket expired in 2024.
Painted in BR unlined Black livery with late crest.
Stored on static display, awaiting overhaul.
