We went to Slimbridge WWT for a couple of hours to see what was about. Black-tailed Godwits, Spotted Redshanks, Common Greenshanks & Common Snipe were on the Rushy Pen. Shoveler, Common Teal & Lapwing were on the Tack Piece from Robbie Garnett Hide. A Great White Egret flew in from the Dumbles past the Estuary Tower & landed on Knott Pool. This bird had a red leg ring 'AFO'. On South Lake from Discovery Hide were Black-tailed Godwits, Ruff, Lapwing & 2 Avocets. Then all the birds suddenly took flight due to a presence of a Sparrowhawk in the area. A Pied Wagtail was perched on the roof of the toilet block near the carpark.
