We went to the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway to see 6880 Betton Grange & 2807 operating the Purple Timetable.

6880 Betton Grange recently took part in the Cotswold Festival of Steam Gala as one of 3 visiting locos.

2807, which was recently overhauled last year also made it first gala debut last month.

While we were at Toddington, we saw the tender of 9351 being shunted by 11230 onto a low loader prior to heading back south to the West Somerset Railway.

At the same time 35006 Peninsular Oriental SN Co had arrived back home, following it's holiday down at Swanage Railway for their Strictly Bullied II Gala.

On our way to Cleeve Common, we saw Red Kite flying around a cut field near Winchcombe village.

We headed to Cleeve Common to look for the Musk Orchid.

We also saw 3 Tree Pipits & 3 Stonechats.

There were a few Bee Orchids, but sadly couldn't find any Wasp Orchids during our visit.

However there were loads of Musk Orchids around the site compared to Barrow Wake.

Quite a few Pyramidal Orchids were in flower & some were very tall.

There were also Common Spotted Orchids scattered on the common.

Two Fragrant Orchid were in flower on the common during our visit.

A couple of Moths on the common were Lace Border & a Female Forester.
