We visited Ham Wall RSPB to see the Grass Snake & Glossy Ibis. The Grass Snakes were showing well on the stones by the disused Ashcott Railway Bridge. A Comma Butterfly basked in the sun. The Glossy Ibises showed very well from the 1st Viewing Platform with some Garganey nearby. Near the 2nd Viewing Platform, we saw a Water Rail. The Grass Snakes were still on show by the old Ashcott Railway, when were on the way back to the carpark. At Catcott Lows NNR, there were a few Winter Ducks left on site including Shovelers & Wigeon. We headed back to Blagdon Lake to look for the Ring-necked Duck, again no joy. However we had a Great White Egret in full breeding plumage, which was nice to see.
