We went to the Somerset Levels.

We started at Ham Wall RSPB.

A Dark Spectacle Moth was roosting in the toilet block.

Other Insects seen around the reserve were Blue-tailed Damselflies, Straw Dot Moth, Common Red Soldier Beetles, Dark Bush Crickets, Nursery Web Spider, Red Admirals, Green-veined Whites & Small Whites.

Near the carpark, a Juvenile Green Woodpecker was foraging along the path, before flying up into the tree.

From Noah's Hide at Shapwick Heath NNR, a Female Emperor Dragonfly was egg-laying in the lake, Brown Hawker & a Male Lesser Emperor were flying around in pursuit of small insects.

A Juvenile Great Crested Grebe was also seen.

A lot of Small Red-eyed Damselflies were seen along the canal on the Lily Pads.

Near the carpark at Ham Wall RSPB, a Female Lesser Emperor showed very well perched in the tree late afternoon.

A few Gatekeepers & Small Red-eyed Damselfly were present in the same area.

At Catcott Lows NR, a good number of Cattle Egrets were foraging amongst the Cattle viewed from the carpark.
