We went down to Dorset to look for Sand Lizards & Dartford Warblers.

Plenty of Swollen-thighed Beetles on the Dandelion Flowers.

The Male Sand Lizard showed very well on Higher Hyde Heath & 1 Common Lizard.

Also saw 2 Slow-worms briefly.

A Female or Immature Keeled Skimmer was seen on the heath.

Around Lytchett Bay NNR we saw 2 more Sand Lizards [Male & Female], Broad-bodied, Four-spotted & Scarce Chasers, Emperor Dragonfly, Azure Damselfly & Greater Water Boatman.

But no Dartford Warblers.

The first Male Silver-studded Blue of the year was seen on Hartland Moor & another 2 Males near Middlebeare.

Also on Middlebeare Heath, we saw 2 distant Cuckoos [Male & Female], Male Wall Brown, Stonechats, Small Heaths, Green Tiger Beetle & 3-4 Dartford Warblers.
