We went to Lower Moor Farm to see what about. A Dark-edged Bee-fly rested in the grass by the path & a Peacock Butterfly perched on the wooden gate. Viewed from the hide, we had excellent views of a pair of Red-crested Pochards.

The main reason we were in the area was to see the first day of the Great Britain XVI from London Victoria-Cheltenham Spa via Margate, double heading from Southall. 44871 & 45407 The Lancashire Fusilier had the honour of heading the tour through Oaksey Station site.

Afterwards, we we went back to Lower Moor Farm NR for more views of the Red-crested Pochards. The pair was joined by another Male with slighty more brighter crown. Eventually all flew off, towards another part of the Cotswold Water Park.

Near Horton in South Gloucestershire, we saw 2 Brown Hares & the Little Owls were in their usual tree.
