We went to Lower Moor Farm NR to look for Downy Emerald Dragonflies.

We saw a Hairy Dragonfly near the carpark.

Loads of Downy Emeralds had recently emerged from the ponds around the reserve, including at least 4 in the hide.

Also on the wing were Four-spotted Chasers, Red-eyed Damselfly & Speckled Wood.

Green-winged Orchids were in good numbers in the flower meadow.

A good number of Pearl-boarded Fritillaries were on the wing in Siccaridge Wood.

At Daneway Banks GWT were Small Heath, Forester Moth & a Brown Argus.

Some Male Mandarin Ducks were on the pond.

A Female Roe Deer was in the roadside field.
