We went to Slimbridge WWT for a few hours.

A flock of Black-headed Gulls & a 1st Summer Mediterranean Gull were on the Rushy Pen.

A Juvenile Robin foraged on the ground in front of the Willow Hide.

A Great White Egret was foraging along the edge of the Knott Pool, one of at least 3 birds that were on site.

A few Bee Orchids were seen along the Summer Walkway & a Painted Lady Butterfly.

The Male White-spotted Bluethroat was still present & showed well at times, very distantly with Reed Buntings, Reed Warblers & Sedge Warbler at Middle Point from the Sea Wall.

The long staying Ross's Goose showed very well on the Tack Piece from the Summer Walkway with Barnacle Geese & a Hybrid.

Loads of Southern Marsh Orchids were in full flower around the grounds.

A Juvenile Rook was waiting to be fed by the Adult near the Kingfisher Café.

A Mallard family was also around the grounds.

Some Common Carp were seen in the pond near to Hogarth Hide.

A couple of Male Black-tailed Skimmers were on the wing around the grounds.

The long staying Black Swan showed very well on South Lake from the Discovery Hide.

On our way home, we popped to Selsley Common.

The main target species was the Small Blues, which were still on the wing in good numbers.

Supporting cast were Great Green Bush Cricket, Six-spot Burnet Moths & Small Heath.
