We went to Slimbridge WWT to see what was about. At the South Finger [Kingfisher Hide] both Kingfishers were nest building in the bank ready for the season. Two Common Snipe showed well from the Martin Smith Hide. A Spoonbill was on the Tack Piece viewable from the Martin Smith Hide, before flying off towards Top New Piece. Other birds inculded Ruffs, Common Redshanks, Lapwings, Black-tailed Godwits, European Golden Plovers, Euraisan White-fronted Geese, Canada Geese & Ross's Goose. The Peregrine Falcon was out on the Dumbles viewable from the Estuary Tower, plus Oystercatcher. The Whooper Swan was present in the Rushy Pen with the Bewick's Swan. This Adult apparently had become a victim of possible lead poison, as it struggled keeping it's head straight. Hopefully, it made a recovery.
