We went to Slimbridge WWT for a couple of hours.

In the Rushy Pen were Grey Heron, Avocet, Green Sandpiper, Common Tern hovering & Juvenile Oystercatcher.

A few more Green Sandpipers were seen from the Robbie Garnett Hide. Also some Juvenile Goldfinches perched on the fence.

A couple of Common Cranes flew over to the Dumbles, viewed from the Estuary Tower. A family of Goldfinches were feeding on berries in the trees below.

By the visitor centre building, the Juvenile House Martins were being fed by the Adults in the nest.

From the South Lake [Discovery Hide], a Black Swan was seen on Deep Lake.

On our way to the Hogarth Hide, we saw a few Black-tailed Skimmers & a Elephant Hawk-moth Caterpillar.

From the Hogarth Hide, we saw a few more Green Sandpipers, Avocet, Black-tailed Godwits, Ruff, Lapwings & 3 Spotted Redshanks. Two were still moulting out of their breeding plumage & one was already in winter plumage.
