We went to Stolford to see the Cirl Buntings that had been present for a few weeks. A few Reed Buntings & Chaffinches fed on the seed along the coast path, before the Female Cirl Bunting joined them. Another Female Cirl Bunting was also seen during our visit, but sadly not the Male bird. The birds were a little bit jumpy, due to the passing of two Sparrowhawks & a Common Kestrel in the area. A Fox also made a very brief appearance along the hedgerow. A couple of Little Egrets flew past.
Near Ham Wall RSPB, we saw Fieldfares, Redwings, Common Chiffchaff & Mistle Thrush in the hedgerow. At Catcott Lows NR, there was still plenty of Eurasian Wigeon, Northern Shoveler, couple of Common Teal & Northern Pintail. A few Great White Egrets flew around at the back of the reserve. The Cattle Egrets were still on Tealham Moor, although we had limited viewing on this occasion as the birds were feeding on a flooded field in front of one of the houses.
