We started our day at Thornwick Pools YWT. A few Sand Martins, House Martins, Swallows, Coots, Reed Warbler, Reed Bunting, Sedge Warbler & Common Chiffchaff were seen from the hide.

We visited Filey Dams YWT, where a few Tree Sparrows were heard & seen near the carpark. Sadly not much else there.

A Male Common Whitethroat was in full song at Bempton Cliffs RSPB carpark & a few Tree Sparrows also.

Plenty of Common Guillemots, Razorbills & Kittiwakes nesting on the cliffs, including a few Puffins.

A Red Admiral was seen near the viewpoint.

In the late afternoon, a Barn Owl was out hunting in the fields near the top carpark.

An unexpected sighting came at the end of the day near Flamborough of a Tawny Owl perched by the road in broad daylight.
