We started our visit to the Somerset Levels by heading over Tealham Moor.

We saw about 40 Cattle Egrets foraging amongst the cattle.

At Catcott Lows NR, a Noon Fly perched on one of the posts in the carpark.

A Female Brown Hawker perched on the hedgerow in the sun.

Plenty of House Sparrows were around the carpark at Greylake RSPB.

Also seen at Greylake RSPB on our visit were Red Admirals, Small Tortoiseshell, Common Darters, Ruddy Darter, Southern Hawker, Brown Hawker, Mute Swans, Moorhen, Cattle Egrets & Grass Snakes.

At Ham Wall RSPB, we saw Mallard, Grey Heron, Bittern, Great White Egret, Little Egret, Small Red-eyed Damselfly, Great Tit, Chaffinches, Kingfisher, Cormorants, Gadwalls, Great Crested Grebe, Grass Snake, Common Lizards & American Mink (not a good thing perhaps to see).

We headed back over Tealham Moor, where the Cattle Egrets had been present all day following the cattle & a Female Common Kestrel perched on one of the hay bales.
