We went to Chew Valley Lake to look for the Spotted Sandpiper.

Near the Stratford Hide, the Tawny Owl was roosting in it's usual tree.

A Great Crested Grebe & Great White Egret were seen from the hide.

The Spotted Sandpiper in full Summer Plumage showed very well along the bank at Herriott's Bridge all day.

A pair of Garganey were on Herriott's Pool at the back of the island & also Egyptian Geese with 3 remaining Goslings.

A Grey Heron was fishing near Herriott's sluice.

Female Goldeneye with a single Duckling.

A couple of Marsh Harriers flew over the lake.

The Adult Spotted Sandpiper remained at Herriott's Pool until 28th May 2025.
