A few Tree Sparrows were feeding in the garden at Flamborough where were staying during the week.

We headed to explore around Tophill Low NR in East Yorkshire.

A Female Broad-bodied Chaser was seen by the Reception Hide.

By the Dragonfly Pond were Hairy Dragonfly, Large Red Damselfly & Hawthorn Shieldbug.

Elsewhere around the reserve were Common Terns, Black-headed Gulls, Avocets, Eurasian Wigeons, Little Ringed Plover, Oystercatcher, Marsh Harriers, Canada Geese, Greylag Geese & Pink-footed Goose. Also a few Northern Marsh Orchids in full flower. We could hear lots of Marsh Frogs, but couldn't see any.

A Four-spotted Chaser was resting near the reservoir wall.

On leaving the reserve, we saw a Brown Hare in the roadside field.

We headed to Fraisthorpe, which was on the way back to Flamborough.

A few more Brown Hares were seen & 4 Grey Partridges.

At the beach carpark, there was a Male Yellow Wagtail & a Female Blue-headed Wagtail collecting nesting material.
