On our way down to East Somerset Railway, we saw the Peregrine perched on top of the gargoyle at Westerleigh Church.

The East Somerset Railway celebrated their 50th Anniversary with a steam gala on the weekend of 16th/17th March. The resident locos 4110 [2nd gala debut since returning to service last year] & 46447 [which was due for overhaul soon] were joined the only guest for event 2999 Lady of Legend which replaced the planned visiting loco 6880 Betton Grange. At Cranmore for the event, 1719 Lady Nan provided the driver for a tenner duties, which had to be booked in advance.

We headed back to Blagdon Lake for another look for the Male Ring-necked Duck. A Female Siskin visited the feeder briefly. A Juvenile Great Cormorant hanged it's wings to dry in Long Bay. We then later had to abandon our search, due to a severe heavy downpour.
