We went to Westhay Moor NNR to look for the Bearded Tits.

A Male Migrant Hawker perched on a blade of grass by the path.

The Bearded Tits showed fairly well on the reserve during the morning until about 12:00, when they dispersed.

A Peacock Butterfly was basking in the sun along the boardwalk.

We went home via Chew Valley Lake to look for the Glossy Ibis.

There were about 5 Great White Egrets, loads of Great Cormorants, 2 Female Northern Shovelers, large numbers of Common Teal & 2 Grey Herons from Stratford Hide.

A Male Common Kingfisher on a branch in front of the hide for a few minutes, before flying off.

A Speckled Wood was basking in the sun along Moreton Lane.

Two Tawny Owls were roosting in a tree near Stratford Hide.

Sadly the Glossy Ibis wasn't seen during our visit.
