Adults come in two colour varietys or Morphs.
Pale Morphs are pale individuals with mainly light grey with a darker head and flight feathers.
Dark Morphs has mid-brown plumage with dark grey flight feathers.
They also a white patch on the shoulder, which ressembles an aircraft landing light.
The call is a shrill kli-kli-kli.
