Annual vagrants from Southern Europe to Britain from April-September.
Breeds in South Western Europe, North & Central Africa & Central Asia.
Winters in South Africa & India.
Adults have short legs, long pointed wings, a long forked tail, and a short bill, which is an adaptation to aerial feeding.
The back and head are brown, and the wings are brown with darker flight feathers.
The belly is white.
The underwings are chestnut, but look dark below.
They also got a black border line around the face.
Juveniles lack those markings, but still easier to indentify.
