Based at East Lancashire Railway.
Built in May 1961 by the Vulcan Foundry.
Numbered 345 & 40145 at other times.
Headcode blinds fitted.
Withdrawn from service in June 1983, after 22 Years & 1 Month of service.
Owned by the Class 40 Preservation Society.
Painted in BR Green livery with late crest & small yellow warning panels.
Currently operational & mainline certified.
Named during the East Lancashire Railway's 20th anniversary; however, currently not carrying nameplates.
