Based at NRM York, but currently at Great Central Railway for 5 years.
Built in 1962.
First-built Class 37.
The locomotive spent its working life based at depots such as Thornaby and March.
In 1998, it was named National Railway Museum, and was subsequently donated to the museum upon its withdrawal from service with EWS in 1999.
In 2022, the locomotive was placed on loan to the Heavy Tractor Group and it moved to the GCR in March that year.
It will remain on the line for a minimum of five years.
Numbered 37119 & 37350 at other times.
Owned by the National Railway Museum in York.
Painted in BR Green livery with late crest & small warning yellow panels.
Currently operational.
