Dusky Sallow

Eremobia ochroleuca

Mainly confined to the south-east of England and East Anglia, with scattered occurrences elsewhere up to Yorkshire.

Larva pale green; lines whitish; lateral line broadly white, its lower edge blackish; spiracles black: head pale brown; the tubercles blackish. 

The Larvae feed on the flowering stems of various grasses, especially Cock's Foot (Dactylis glomerata).

Forewing white, suffused with pale olive brown; lines broadly white, the inner and outer generally coalescing on submedian fold, the outer line denticulate externally; median area often darker brown, somewhat blackish tinged, especially in the Male.

Flies in July and August, when it can be found feeding at various flowers, as well as being attracted to light.
