Breeds in South Western Europe such as France & Spain, mainly nocturnal.
Escapes only occur in Britain.
Adults have the orange eyes, large ear tufts actually feathers and vertical stripes on the chest.
Juveniles are greyer than the Adults.
They one of the largest Owls in Europe.
The calls are deeper than those of Long-eared Owls.
