Common & widespread in Scotland, rare in the Peak District.

 Also occurs in the Faroe Islands, Scandinavia, North East Europe, Taiga & Tundra zones of Northern Asia, North America, Greenland & also in isolated populations in the Alps.

Also known as Blue or White Hare.
