Oak [Northern] Eggar

Lasiocampa quercus f. callunae

This northern subspecies of the Oak Eggar Moth is commoner in Northern England & Scotland, mainly nocturnal.

The Larvae feed on the same foodplants as the Larvae in the south.

However, the flight period is earlier than their southern counterparts, being from May-early July.
