Very rare migrants from Europe with 30-40 per year in Britain mostly between April-May & a rare breeder.
Breeds in France, Spain, South Eastern Europe & North Africa.
Males have a brighter yellow face and breast, yellow wing bars and yellow tail sides.
Females & Juveniles are duller.
The song of this bird is a buzzing trill, very familiar in Mediterranean countries.
